The researches we do include baseline surveys, needs assessments, KAP/KAPB surveys, capacity assessments and formative studies.

Baseline Study of Climate Change Adaptation and Sustainable Energy Systems (CCASE) Project in Zimbabwe’s Nyanga and Chipinge districts.

Brief Description: The assignment was being implemented by ZELA in collaboration with Community Technology Development Organisation (CTDO) and Centre for Agriculture and Food Policy (CAFP). The assignment began with the inception phase which culminated in the development of an approved inception report, charting the way for the undertaking of the baseline study. Data collection was done in both Nyanga and Chipinge districts, followed by analysis and development of reports (Draft and Final Reports). The findings were presented by the Lead Consultant on a PowerPoint at a Validation Workshop held at Cresta Hotel (Masasa) in Harare. The Results Framework was updated with baseline values obtained from the study, thus benchmarking the intervention.
Baseline Study for ‘Improving Socio-Economic Status for Women, Youth and Marginalised Groups in Zambia’ (ICSP) Project

Brief Description: The assignment began with the inception phase which culminated in the development of an approved inception report, charting the way for the undertaking of the baseline study. The research was done in four districts in both Southern and Western provinces of Zambia namely Mongu, Kaoma, Namwala and Gwembe. Draft and Final Report were developed (including the populated Results Framework with baseline values) and approved by Oxfam SAF & partners.

Brief Description: Data collection encompassed both qualitative and qualitative approaches and tools which enabled thorough triangulation. The baseline study findings were presented to the regional Oxfam SAF team and validated. The final report, as per the dictates of the ToR was shared with Oxfam SAF team in Zambia. The baseline study was forward looking, entailing benchmarking of key indicators at baseline setting the precedence for project performance measurement at midline and endline.
