Mr Samson MarufuSamson Marufu is a development research and evaluation professional with extensive experience conducting baseline studies, annual surveys, mid-term evaluations, and end-line assessments across Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, Sudan, South Sudan, Mozambique, Madagascar, Seychelles, South Africa, Eswatini, and Botswana. He has worked with leading international and regional organizations including UN Agencies, USAID, EU, Plan International, World Vision, Caritas, Oxfam, Save the Children, CLGF, CBM, PSH, GIZ, Ifakara Health Institute, ActionAid and Zimbabwe Environmental Law Association. His expertise spans food security and livelihoods, gender and social inclusion, WASH, child protection, health systems, disability inclusion, climate change adaptation, and socioeconomic empowerment. Samson has successfully led and supported mixed-methods research assignments involving quantitative and qualitative data collection, process monitoring, data quality assurance, validation workshops, analysis, and report writing. His field experience covers multiple provinces and districts in Eastern, Southern and West Africa, where he has contributed to evidence-based programming and policy development. Notable assignments include evaluations of livelihood and wellbeing projects, school health programmes, malaria intervention performance, disability inclusion initiatives, and randomized controlled trial process monitoring in the education sector. He is skilled in stakeholder engagement, enumerator training, survey coordination, and dissemination of findings, with a strong track record of delivering validated reports and actionable recommendations for development partners and implementing organizations.
